Suggester's words: I really think Tutorial: Preparing Lineart by =Shinerai is useful for people who feel more comfortable doing their line art traditionally, and not having to re-line it in PS. I've never seen another tutorial like it, so it's not only clear and instructive, but also unique!

Description

I never feel right making tutorials because, I don't consider myself a very advanced user of Photoshop. I never feel like I'm in the right place telling other people how to do it.

And I know this isn't an advanced tutorial, but many people don't know how to do this. I also know there are other tutorials out there explaining this exact same thing. . .

I was asked recently how to get the white off sketch images and it reminded me of how often I really am asked that. So have a tutorial for everyone in the future who needs to know.

This tutorial is absolutely wonderful! I wrote such a long comment for it, I thought--what the heck, let's make it a critique!

First of all, I know I am one of the many poor souls out there who have looked a loooong time for an efficient way to get those pesky lines off the paper, and I think this method will greatly suffice for anyone with access to these programs.

Secondly, the trick with the channels is incredibly nifty! The results come out exactly like the scanned image, and that's highly impressive to me. Never seen that before, so I am thankful that you brought it into this community!

Finally, I gotta say, I consider you a pretty advanced Photoshop user. The shading and coloring tutorials you did? Fascinating. I've never seen anything like 'em! Your methods are great: clean-cut and to the point. They seem very effective in getting the job done, while also keeping it fun in the process.

Overall, I think this lineart tutorial deserves ever more praise, forever and ever. Everyone with a scanner and Photoshop needs to see this! Good job, and well done. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=";) (Wink)"/>
