So I pretty much worked on this all day, seeing as it's my day off. I've got a trade and commission to work on, so this'll be the only personal art for a while yet :)

Not sure who all remembers him, but here's my character Di. Out of all my characters I probably draw him the most. Not sure why! I've definitely tweaked his design a little bit; if anyone remembers his reference sheet. He's big and intimidating and I wanted him to look it, so I've fixed his proportions, changed his horns, and. . . well just did a lot of minor tweaks that I think helped a lot :)

This image uses the same gradient map as my other most recent pic (drejrael). I was going to color it, but then I decided I don't know what color Di really is (since I want to change that too), so have the gradient map.

I apologize for the lazy rain. . . I originally made hundreds of dots to create rain and then realized I had done it straight onto the picture. It took me about two hours to color over all of the dots and by the time I was done, I really wasn't motivated to make rain anymore.. .

Anyway, enjoy.

I love the improvements and tweaks from your original reference sheet. I think what mostly brings about the "intimidating" factor is the improvement in muscle and gore apparent in his reference sheet. It was there but the fact that you made it seem even more real in this drawing makes him much more gruesome features. I love that he has three ears as well.

Also the matte finish of the drawing gives it a high quality and the hazy features of his wings and slithering body just add to the overall gruesome persona, as if he is slinking in the middle of a cold, rainy night hiding in shadows and seeming to be invisible. The only time it becomes apparent he is right beside you is when the lightning flashes. Wonderful work; it has a lot of great things going on at once, some implied, some in the craftsmanship of your digital work ethic.

Your feedback helps me determine what viewers like in my art cx This character happens to be one of my favorites from my story. I hope to draw him more and maybe even make a new refsheet soon.

I had seen the old reference sheet before but I could not remember exactly what he looked like before the reworkings so it was fun going back over it. c: I cannot wait to see more of him in your work. Ah, then I look forward to seeing a re-vamped reference sheet in the future.

He is a unique character that is for sure!
