Something else people ask me a lot. I understand that most people know how to do this but, still, here is how I do it for those who may need help. :'<

I'm not very good at making tutorials, haha 3:

The dragon was on a separate layer: above the background and below the texture. I simply used the eraser and erased very lightly to get it to lighten up. Then I used the blur tool to blur it c:
