DescriptionI started this picture June, 2013 as an adoption for TheFailedDream when they didn't receive their artwork for the ExchangeJam. I am very sorry it took so long, but I was simply not able to finish this image the way I wanted to at my skill level when I started it. It's certainly not perfect now but I think it turned out well enough.
I picked this back up a few weeks ago and now it's finished! I certainly had a lot of trouble with the markings on the character because when I originally started it, I was stupid and painted it full color on one layer which is really difficult for me to do now. It was certainly an adventure and I thank everyone that motivated me through this including but not limited to: Venomeye, AguaRush11, AshasCadence, and Ryoseth-CP.
I hope it was worth the wait, Dream.

Though as I saw the date, I figured you had given up on it by then, making this a pleasant surprise.
I'm glad its so well received. I did spend a lot of time on this image; most of the trees are individually drawn.
I'm so sorry for the late comment on this, but I've been busy D:
First of all;
I can't believe it's actually my character in such an absolutely wonderful drawing! I think I could cry because of the sheer beauty, really! The way you've shaded and drawn Etirc is amazing, I adore how you've drawn her markings, she looks so pretty and majestic As for the background, it seems really peaceful and magical, it's perfect with the light in the horizon and all the pretty stars - with the water it seems like it comes to life and Etirc really has found herself a good place I really wish I could be there with her,hopefullythatdoesn'tsoundtooweird, I'm sure it'd be breathtaking
I'm super glad that you like how she came out ;u;
<3 She was really fun to paint.
i miss you ;o;
Unfortunately, I drew it all on one layer so there isn't a version without the dragon haha.
I hate colds.
But seriously, this is really fun. The blues give it a nice, calm feeling but the view behind him is totally fun! I hate heights, though, so if this were real and I was really on a ledge like that .... well, let's just say I'd be scrambling for the farthest place FROM the ledge. But the angle is awesome. He looks like he's about to take flight and experience the freedom of defying gravity the way we never could. Unless of course some of us were lucky enough to be dare-devil pilots but ... meh. Probably not the same thing.
The little details you put in his wings are fun. Just little wrinkles to hint at texture and movement. Simple but effective.
