Alright, another one of these done >8D I was depressed that when i started shading this one, I accidentally sliced through it with an x-acto knife so I had to start over. It didn't take long though. The people in Ustream got to watch all of this one as well and we had fun even though i had to bbl to go eat any whatnot.
it's a little rotated in the wrong direction but oh well. Things i learned:
-dont try to cut out antennas. -shading green with gray is nice -put patterns on before you start shading. it makes them fade out in the shadow and it's lovely -dont randomly cut through your picture with knives. -cutting a little bit outside your lines is better than trying to cut on them exactly.
well that's it. Kraine belongs to who i gave this commission for free because she's so sweeeeet and bought me a subby in the past. C: <3333 thank you so much, beb.
Haha. Well at this point, i do these different pretty much every time. Sometimes I use ballpoint pen, sometimes I use white gouache as well. It just depends. It's been about a year since i've made one, so I'll need to make another before attempting a tutorial ;D i'll put it on my to-do's though
It's pretty much like watecolors except their opaque So you could paint in white on black if you wanted to, but they pretty much behave just like watercolors. Hey are you busy indigo? c: I'm thinking of streaming.
