A Commission! This is for ~PaintedKelpie of her character named Corwin! He's like an owl dragon that looks after travelers, especially if they're lost. He's very cute c:

Floof! I just want to hug him. He's such an interesting sounding character too :O I can just see him running off through some dark forest to help some travelers out the way you drew him. Although he seems to be doing more of a strange floaty leg waggle thing than running.

I see xD I wonder how I could make him more like he's running. I think I actually used a reference for this, too, of a running dog or something I don't remember.

Hmmm, like I said, it looks like he's running, but sort of calmly while going very fast, ahahaha I'm making no sense here am I? I worded that last comment rather confusingly too, he definitely does look like he's running though. I think my problem is that I'm used to horses (less sure about how dogs run. And when all four legs of a horse are off the ground it means that its going very fast, and the neck sort of stretches out a lot more. But his neck and head look all comfortably tucked up, especially with his head angle where his chin is tucked into all that amazing floof. And so his legs and neck sort of contradict each other a bit. It's a bit of a funny pose, in that it sacrifices its sense of speed, or grounding for a kind of ethereal floaty run thing, which gives him quite a spirit like vibe.
Annd I think I may have made even less sense now, sorry about that, my brain seems to be a bit fried!

No it's okay, you're making sense :D I am just trying to get feedback and you're giving it to me, which I appreciate! I think you're right with the neck; that it definitely is what disrupts the feeling of running c: I will pay more attention next time :D

Hooray! My usual manner of speaking is by making strange sounds and flailing my arms around, when I suddenly have to type it all out everything becomes a bit more confusing XD

Oh haha! I can understand XD When I took speech in college, I never had to use cards (because I always memorized what I was going to say) so I had a really bad habit of flailing my arms about or jumping while I was talking. So, for one presentation, I decided to carry blank cards up there, so I'd have something to hold on to in order to prevent myself from freaking out the audience, but I ended up dropping the cards so I just kinda threw them all down and flailed anyway xD

Eee late reply! Sorry >_<
Haha oh deary! Arm flailing seems to be an important element of communication for many people. I used to have those cards, but then our teachers always emphasised how important eyecontact was, so I'd stare somewhere near the back of the class and try to never look at my cards. And then completely lose my place, and make up the rest of my speech, because I was too scared to pause and find my place again XD And then I'd end up holding my now useless cards in one hand and waving them around at everyone.
